AccelByte Indonesia Give for Good Program: Giving Back to Our Community in 2021

In May 2021, AccelByte Indonesia held our annual Give for Good 2021 program, where we collect charitable donations from our staff to distribute in our community during the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr holiday. Last year we donated medical supplies to local health facilities and food supplies to elderly citizens and workers with disabilities. Our employees not only contributed with donations, but they also volunteered to distribute the goods to the needy.

As in years past, our employees came together to make a positive impact on our community. This year, we made our donations to a local charity: the Yayasan Sayap Ibu (Mother’s Wings Foundation) in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This organization operates three orphanages in Yogyakarta: one that cares for infants, toddlers, and children up to twelve years old, and two separate homes that care for adolescents with or without special needs. In addition to ensuring the health and safety of each child in their care, Yayasan Sayap Ibu also provides for their education.

With the pandemic still making daily life difficult for many, our staff decided together this year to target some of the most vulnerable in our community. Orphaned infants, children, and teens, especially those with special needs, require a lot of support, and our staff wanted to make sure they had what they need this holiday season.

We brought them loads of goods such as formula, baby food, diapers and other baby care products, as well as rice and other staple foods, and toiletries. We also delivered boxes of gently used clothes from our employees to the orphanages.

Our deepest thanks to all our employees for their donations to our Give for Good program. We are proud of our staff for their generosity and honored to serve our community in Indonesia.
