How is Foundations different from AccelByte Cloud?

Foundations is a streamlined version of the AccelByte Cloud platform that takes all our existing backend features and simplifies them for quick, plug-and-play integration. While AccelByte Cloud is a hosted, single-tenant solution with dedicated LiveOps support designed for AAA creators, Foundations is intended for smaller, independent studios to quickly build, launch, and operate their titles.

Why do you measure based on player hours rather than MAU?

One of our core values is to align ourselves with our customers' success. MAU often counts (and charges!) for any sudden influx of one-off players that don't stick around. We instead only want to charge for players that are actively engaging with the game.

What happens if I outgrow Foundations?

Foundations is designed to enable easy migration to full AccelByte Cloud platform. This keeps open the option to upgrade to the complete AccelByte Cloud offering - and all the associated dedicated LiveOps support - at any time when your title blows up!

How will I be supported? How can make feature requests?

During the Closed Invite period we are searching for close partners to provide input to the product team. As such, we take feature requests and pesky bugs seriously and you will have direct access to our engineering teams.

How long will the Closed Invite period last?

The Closed Invite period is intended to last through 2023 as we build and refine the Foundations platform. After the Closed Invite period, nothing will change for existing users as we open the platform to additional creators.

Can I ship my game on Foundations while it's in the closed invite?

Absolutely yes. You can launch your games anytime you're ready.

What's the pricing looks like once I pass the 500k player active hours?
